It is the night our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was transported from the Sacred Mosque in Makkah to Al-Aqsa in Jerusalem, and from there ascended through the heavens to the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary (Sidrat al-Muntaha). It was here, in the Divine Presence, that the gift of the five daily prayers (Salah) was bestowed upon this Ummah. This night reminds us that prayer is our own personal ascension—a direct link between the slave and his Lord اللهم صلِّ وسلم على نبينا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه.\n\n
