Laylat Israa and al-Miraj (The Night Journey) 🕌

Assalamu Alaikum!

Tonight, we reflect on the miraculous journey of Al-Isra’ wal-Mi’raj, a night that defies the laws of physics and affirms the power of the Creator. It is the night our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was transported from the Sacred Mosque in Makkah to Al-Aqsa in Jerusalem, and from there ascended through the heavens to the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary (Sidrat al-Muntaha). It was here, in the Divine Presence, that the gift of the five daily prayers (Salah) was bestowed upon this Ummah. This night reminds us that prayer is our own personal ascension—a direct link between the slave and his Lord اللهم صلِّ وسلم على نبينا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه.
